We have tried and tested nearly all of the restaurants in our local area of the South Hams. However there’s one that really shines, and it takes some beating too. Our favourite causal dinning restaurant is in Ringmore. It’s just 20 minutes drive from Brightham House, and it’s called ‘The Journey’s End’. Walk to East Soar, then to Overbeck’s. During your stay you might like to take in the beautiful views, and Devon countryside. We took a circular walk today which starts at the National Trusts East Soar car park. It takes about 45 mins to reach South Sands, in Salcombe where you can stop for lunch and refreshments. We’ve had a busy few months at Brightham House upgrading five of our en-suite showers. Last year we invested big, by fitting a brand new pressurised heated water system for the house. It will power all our 8 en-suite bathrooms. It’s a top end energy efficient technology system, which is better for the environment. We are are aiming to improve Devon Green tourism by using more eco-friendly products, and equipment.
